Book Festival

“Traveling is the antidote to ignorance.”
-Trevor Noah

But what if getting in a car is not an option? What would be the antidote then?  Books!

Join us this June 1, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, as we grow into a new space, expand the scope of our book fair, introduce more authors and celebrate the power of literature to transform our lives one page at a time!

This year we invite you to participate in crafts, sample from various food vendors, listen to music and browse a world of literature you won’t find anywhere else.

Books are a passport to the world at large and a ticket to the subway, train or ferry. Through books we travel great distances or find ourselves in very personal conversations with those people we would otherwise not have a chance to encounter. Books allow us to move from a comfort zone to a place of exploration and growth.

At the Multicultural Book Festival, we offer a range of diverse and inclusive books – each ready to engage, delight, challenge and travel with you.

The Hastings-on-Hudson Multicultural Book Fair is organized and hosted by the Race Matters Committee. The goal of our Multicultural Book Fair is to broaden the types of stories typically available to students and families.
